Il Miglio D’Oro è un tratto di strada che va da Portici a Torre Annunziata, fiancheggiato da ville stupende costruite dall’aristocrazia napoletana nel ‘700 per imitare il re Carlo di Borbone che si era fatto edificare a Portici un magnifico Palazzo. Nacque così uno dei patrimoni architettonici più importanti dell’area , il Miglio D’Oro e le ville vesuviane.
The Golden Mile is a stretch of road that goes from Portici to Torre Annunziata, flanked by beautiful villas built by the aristocracy in theNeapolitan’700 to imitate King Charles of Bourbon, who had made a magnificent palace built in Portici. Thus was born one of the most important architectural heritage of the area, the Golden Mile and the Vesuvian villas.
